Peter de Vlaam wins 'Best Translator 2011' award

On Friday 25 November 2011, Peter de Vlaam was voted 'Best Translator 2011' by other professional translators and customers, remarkably after having won the same title on the previous occasion in 1999. Moreover, his company Albion Vertalingen was awarded Third Prize in the 'Best Translating Agency 2011' election, won by the translating department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In another separate contest, Italian-born Antonietta Toffolo won the 'Best Interpreter 2011' award.

The winners were announced at the end of the Nationaal Vertaalcongres 2011 at the Regardz Eenhoorn conference centre in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. This conference was hosted jointly by TeamWork, Vereniging Zelfstandige Vertalers and ITV Hogeschool voor Tolken en Vertalen.
